DH Peca and DH Sor&#8217;ca"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">This weekend, on Saturday, July 1st, it finally begins! After April&#8217;s \u00bbtest event\u00ab at Golovec trails we are starting the 20chocolate Downhill Cup, the Slovenian downhill series, at Petzen, Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The first <strong>DH Peca<\/strong> race will be held on a freshly built track in <strong>MTB Zone Bikepark Petzen<\/strong>. The race will also be a part of <strong>auner Austrian Gravity Series<\/strong>, therefore we are continuing the partnership with the Austrian series which started with joint events at Kope. This will be this year&#8217;s round two of the Austrian series. The first round was held in Bikepark K\u00f6nigsberg where the Slovenian Jan Cimperman (MTB Trbovlje) won in men&#8217;s elite category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1280\" height=\"487\" src=\"https:\/\/slodhcup.pumptrack.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20-CHO-DH-Cup_PECA-1-1280x487.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-52282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/slodhcup.pumptrack.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20-CHO-DH-Cup_PECA-1-1280x487.png 1280w, https:\/\/slodhcup.pumptrack.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20-CHO-DH-Cup_PECA-1-640x244.png 640w, https:\/\/slodhcup.pumptrack.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20-CHO-DH-Cup_PECA-1-768x292.png 768w, https:\/\/slodhcup.pumptrack.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20-CHO-DH-Cup_PECA-1-1536x584.png 1536w, https:\/\/slodhcup.pumptrack.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/20-CHO-DH-Cup_PECA-1.png 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The new track<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The new track was built by former downhill racer and enduro pioneer Peter Mlinar who is now a mamber of Petzen bike park crew. It is roughly <strong>2000 m long with a vertical descent of 300 m<\/strong>. It includes newly built forest sections, fast grassy parts on ski slopes and a section of the EWS trail. Don&#8217;t let that confuse you, it&#8217;s a real downhill track, requiring a real downhill bike. The finish is at Emmi\u2019s Mosth\u00fctte, about a 20 min (1.4 km) hike from Petzen gondola base station and parking where the race office will also be set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sloveniadownhillcup.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/DH-Peca_map_1300.jpg\" alt=\"dh peca petzen\" class=\"wp-image-49649\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nothing tells more about the track than the video recorder by Austrian rider Nico Ofner the past weekend. It was the first chance to ride the track. The track will again be open for riding on Friday June 30. Then on Saturday the offical training will be held until 1 pm, followed by the seeding run starting at 2 pm and the final run at 4.30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2T_wkXwcbVQ\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>The registration is open until Thursday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A week and a day later, on <strong>Sunday July 9<\/strong>, the second race of 20chocolate Downhill Cup will be held at <strong>Sori\u0161ka planina<\/strong>.
